Lakeside School Chiefs (Eufaula, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Southern Christian Patriots (Opelika, AL), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Chiefs now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Chambers Academy for a AISA A Region 1 challenge on Monday, March 13. Lakeside School will battle a Rebels squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Bessemer Academy (Bessemer, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Southern Christian falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Patrician Academy (Butler, AL) to battle the Saints in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 11. The Saints enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Patrician Academy won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Abbeville Christian Academy (Abbeville, AL)
