March 10, 2025: Marrero, LA 70072 The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes baseball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Booker T. Washington Lions to 0 in the Hurricanes non-league win on Monday.
The Hurricanes now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Archbishop Shaw for a non-league test on Thursday, March 13. L.W. Higgins will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 5-3 league loss to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-9.
With the defeat, Booker T. Washington drops to 0-6 on the year. The Lions travel to West Jefferson (Harvey, LA) to clash with the Buccaneers in a non-league test on Friday, March 14. The Buccaneers go into the test with a record of 0-2. West Jefferson lost 10-0 in their recent non-league test against South Plaquemines (Buras, LA)
