Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 6-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hibriten improves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to play the Indians in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 12. The Indians enter the game with a record of 2-3. St. Stephens lost 5-3 in their recent league game against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

The Knights now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Central Cabarrus for a South Piedmont 3A game on Friday, March 14. Lake Norman Charter will play a Vikings squad coming off a 10-9 league loss to South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 3-3.
