Next, the Cougars clash with the South Panola Tigers (Batesville, MS) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, March 11. Newton County will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 10-2 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Hernando (Hernando, MS).
The Bearcats (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Grenada (Grenada, MS). The Chargers go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Grenada was routed by St. Benedict at Auburndale (Cordova, TN), 6-3, in a non-league test.
