Georgia High School Baseball - Oconee County holds off Walnut Grove
March 11, 2021: Watkinsville, GA 30677 Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) and the visiting Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), saw Oconee County's baseball squad knock off Walnut Grove by a count of 8-4.
Coming up next, the Warriors play the East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA) in a AAA Region 8 battle, on Tuesday, March 16. Oconee County will attempt to move on its 8-4 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 3-7 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Johnson (Gainesville, GA).
The Warriors now possess a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host George Walton Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 13. Walnut Grove will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-6.
