March 11, 2022: Montebello, CA 90640 The Montebello Oilers held off the visiting Mary Star of the Sea Stars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.
The Oilers now have a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alhambra for a Almont test on Tuesday, March 15. Montebello will confront a Moors team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Bell Gardens (Bell Gardens, CA). The Moors record now stands at 1-4.
The Stars (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA). The Griffins enter the non-league test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Los Alamitos held off Bellflower (Bellflower, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
