The Douglas Tigers (Minden, NV) softball nipped the visiting Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA), 3-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against La Habra (La Habra, CA). The Highlanders go into the non-league bout with a 6-2 record. In their last bout, La Habra was edged by Willow Canyon (Surprise, AZ), 8-0, in a non-league bout.
