The East Ascension Spartans baseball team (Gonzales, LA), was overwhelmed 7-2 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA)

The Bearcats now hold a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ouachita Parish for a 5A District 2 outing on Thursday, April 6. Ruston will confront a Lions team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Family Community Christian (Winnsboro, LA). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.
