Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL), 5-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Litchfield upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Purple Panthers travel to Lebanon (Lebanon, IL) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 13. The Greyhounds enter the battle with a record of 0-1. Lebanon lost 22-0 in their recent non-league battle against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL)
