Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans face the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 12. Sun Valley will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Pumas enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC).

The Patriots now have a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Cabarrus for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Independence will face a Wolverines team coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-1.
