In Monday's non-league contest, the East Leopards (Salt Lake City, UT) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Rowland Hall Winged Lions (Salt Lake City, UT), by a margin of 17-2.

With the triumph, East moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Leopards travel to Granger (West Valley City, UT) to play the Lancers in a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 13. The Lancers come into the contest with a record of 0-7. Granger lost 18-3 in their recent non-league contest against Copper Hills (West Jordan, UT)
