The West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) baseball trounced the visiting Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), 13-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Green Wave now own a 6-12 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Cormorant for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 11.

With the defeat, Independence drops to 5-7 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 12.
