Jackson Prep Patriots (Jackson, MS) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS), 9-5 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Jackson Prep advances its record to 11-3 on the season. The Patriots travel to Second Baptist (Houston, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 11. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 6-0. Second Baptist won 11-7 in their recent non-league match against North Delta (Batesville, MS)

The Yellowjackets now have a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Amory for a non-league match on Thursday, March 13. Starkville will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 6-4.
