March 11, 2025: Mount Ida, AR 71957 The Mount Ida Lions baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Mansfield Tigers to 1 in the Lions non-league win on Tuesday.
The Lions now hold a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dierks for a non-league test on Thursday, March 13. Mount Ida will play a Outlaws team coming off a 6-3 league loss to Cutter-Morning Star (Hot Springs National Park, AR). The Outlaws record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, Mansfield drops to 0-5 on the year. The Tigers travel to Waldron (Waldron, AR) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Thursday, March 13. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 3-1. Waldron lost 10-4 in their recent non-league test against Cossatot River (Cove, AR)
