Texas High School Softball - Rockwall edges Van Alstyne
March 11, 2025: Rockwall, TX 75087 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Rockwall Yellowjackets (Rockwall, TX) and the visiting Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX), observed Rockwall's softball team get by Van Alstyne by a tally of 2-0.
The Yellowjackets (7-11) will now prepare for their bout against Forney (Forney, TX). The Jackrabbits go into the 6A Region II District 10 bout with a 17-1 record. In their last bout, Forney tipped Longview (Longview, TX), 10-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Gainesville Leopards (Gainesville, TX) in a 4A Region II District 9 bout, on Tuesday, March 18. Van Alstyne will attempt to advance on its 10-4 season record. The Leopards go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 18-2 league loss to Celina (Celina, TX).
