California High School Softball - Torres bounces Sierra

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Torres Toros (Madera, CA) and the host Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA), observed Torres's softball team notch a victory over Sierra by a tally of 18-4.

The Toros (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against El Capitan (Merced, CA). The Gauchos enter the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, El Capitan topped Grant (Sacramento, CA), 14-2, in a non-league contest.

The Chieftains now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Immanuel for a non-league contest on Friday, March 13. Sierra will battle a Eagles team coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Mission Oak (Tulare, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.
