Texas High School Baseball - Grapevine holds off Aubrey
March 12, 2022: Aubrey, TX 76227 Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) and the host Aubrey Chaparrals (Aubrey, TX), saw Grapevine's baseball squad knock off Aubrey by a count of 7-3.
Coming up next, the Mustangs play the Colleyville Heritage Panthers (Colleyville, TX) in a 5A Region I District 6 battle, on Wednesday, March 16. Grapevine will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Montwood (El Paso, TX).
The Chaparrals now possess a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sanger for a 4A Region II District 9 battle on Tuesday, March 15. Aubrey will play a Indians squad coming off a 21-2 non-league win over Mineral Wells (Mineral Wells, TX). The Indians record now stands at 7-5.
