Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Bonham Warriors (Bonham, TX), 4-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Ponder upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Lions host Paradise (Paradise, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 3A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, March 15. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 6-2. Paradise won 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX)

With the defeat, Bonham falls to 0-2 on the season. The Warriors host Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX) to play the Cardinals in a 3A Region II District 11 battle on Friday, April 1. The Cardinals enter the battle with a record of 3-1.
