Texas High School Baseball - Fort Bend Kempner holds off Mayde Creek
March 12, 2022: Sugar Land, TX 77487 Fort Bend Kempner Cougars (Sugar Land, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Mayde Creek Rams (Houston, TX), 5-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Fort Bend Kempner upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Cougars host Lamar Consolidated (Rosenberg, TX) to battle the Mustangs in a 5A Region III District 24 test on Tuesday, March 15. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 4-11. Lamar Consolidated lost 7-6 in their recent non-league test against Sam Rayburn (Pasadena, TX)
With the defeat, Mayde Creek falls to 5-6 on the season. The Rams host Katy (Katy, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 6A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, March 15. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 12-4. Katy won 14-0 in their recent non-league test against Cypress Falls (Houston, TX)
