Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Scripps Ranch Falcons (San Diego, CA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Highlanders now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hilltop for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 14. Helix will battle a Lancers squad coming off a 25-6 non-league loss to Clairemont (San Diego, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Scripps Ranch falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host Olympian (Chula Vista, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Olympian won 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA)
