March 12, 2024: Franklin, LA 70538 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Patterson Lumberjacks (Patterson, LA) and the host Franklin Hornets (Franklin, LA), saw Patterson's softball squad achieve victory over Franklin by a count of 16-0.
The Lumberjacks now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Berwick for a 3A District 8 match on Thursday, March 14. Patterson will face a Panthers squad coming off a 14-10 non-league loss to New Iberia (New Iberia, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Franklin falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Hornets host West St. Mary (Baldwin, LA) to face the Wolfpack in a 2A District 8 match on Thursday, March 14. The Wolfpack enter the match with a record of 0-7. West St. Mary lost 27-1 in their recent non-league match against V.B. Glencoe Charter (Franklin, LA)
