In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting East Gaston Warriors baseball team scored a nice 16-5 win over the West Iredell Warriors.

The Warriors (6-3) will now prepare for their game against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Bessemer City was overwhelmed by East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC), 17-1, in a league game.

Next, the Warriors play the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 18. West Iredell will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Vikings go into the game with a 5-2 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Watauga (Boone, NC).
