In Thursday's non-league bout, the Marathon Dolphins (Marathon, FL) baseball team trounced the host Dixie County Bears (Cross City, FL), by a count of 11-0.

The Dolphins now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chiefland for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 13. Marathon will clash with a Indians team coming off a 16-6 non-league win over Fort White (Fort White, FL). The Indians record now stands at 5-5.

With the defeat, Dixie County drops to 6-4 on the year. The Bears travel to Jefferson County (Monticello, FL) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, March 13. The Tigers enter the bout with a record of 3-10. Jefferson County won 18-5 in their recent non-league bout against Godby (Tallahassee, FL)
