The Fillmore Flashes softball squad (Fillmore, CA), was routed 13-0 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA)

With the triumph, Ventura improves its record to 5-4 on the year. The Cougars host San Marcos (Santa Barbara, CA) to face the Royals in a Channel bout on Tuesday, March 17. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 6-4. San Marcos lost 7-2 in their recent league bout against Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA)

In their next game, the Flashes clash with the Santa Clara Saints (Oxnard, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 14. Fillmore will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 17-4 non-league loss to Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA).
