Georgia High School Baseball - Cook nips Pike County
March 13, 2021: Zebulon, GA 30295 Cook Hornets (Adel, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), 7-6 in a non-league test.
With the win, Cook upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Hornets travel to Glenwood (Phenix City, AL) to battle the Gators in a non-league test on Saturday, March 13. The Gators come into the test with a record of 9-4. Glenwood won 13-2 in their recent non-league test against Marion County (Buena Vista, GA)
With the defeat, Pike County falls to 4-7 on the season. The Pirates travel to Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA) to battle the Knights in a AAA Region 2 test on Tuesday, March 16. The Knights come into the test with a record of 6-4. Upson-Lee won 11-2 in their recent league test against Central (Macon, GA)
