March 13, 2021: Marksville, LA 71351 The St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Marksville Tigers to 6 in the Fighting Blue Jays non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, St. Edmund moves its record to 12-0 on the year. The Fighting Blue Jays host North Vermilion (Maurice, LA) to play the Patriots in a non-league game on Monday, March 15. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 7-6. North Vermilion lost 6-4 in their recent non-league game against Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA)
In their next game, the Tigers play the Buckeye Panthers (Buckeye, LA) in a 3A District 3 game, on Tuesday, March 16. Marksville will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 9-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA).
