Louisiana High School Baseball - Avoyelles wallops Northwest
March 13, 2023: Moreauville, LA 71355 Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Avoyelles Mustangs (Moreauville, LA) and the visiting Northwest Raiders (Opelousas, LA), saw Avoyelles's baseball team gain a win over Northwest by a score of 16-2.
The Mustangs (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against Oakdale (Oakdale, LA). The Warriors enter the 2A District 5 bout with a 4-10 record. In their last bout, Oakdale defeated Marksville (Marksville, LA), 22-1, in a non-league bout.
Next, the Raiders face the Opelousas Tigers (Opelousas, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 14. Northwest will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 0-4 record after their 17-10 non-league loss to Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA).
