Glencoe Yellowjackets (Glencoe, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL), 12-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Ohatchee for a 3A Area 11 challenge on Tuesday, March 21.

With the loss, Cherokee County falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Oneonta (Oneonta, AL) to battle the Redskins in a 4A Area 10 challenge on Thursday, March 16. The Redskins enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Oneonta won 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Cleveland (Cleveland, AL)
