Virginia High School Softball - Edison nudges George C. Marshall
March 13, 2023: Alexandria, VA 22310 Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Falls Church for a National challenge on Thursday, March 16. Edison will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to Lightridge (Aldie, VA). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, George C. Marshall falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Statesmen travel to Centreville (Clifton, VA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 15. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Centreville lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Battlefield (Haymarket, VA)
