The Gruver Greyhounds baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots to 5 in the Greyhounds non-league win on Thursday.

The Greyhounds now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Booker for a 2A Region I District 1 test on Tuesday, March 18. Gruver will play a Kiowas team coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Sunray (Sunray, TX). The Kiowas record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, San Jacinto Christian Academy drops to 9-6 on the year. The Patriots travel to Kress (Kress, TX) to play the Kangaroos in a non-league test on Monday, March 17.
