In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars.

The Eagles (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Cheyenne (North Las Vegas, NV). The Desert Shields enter the non-league challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Cheyenne was beaten by Centennial (Las Vegas, NV), 3-1, in a league challenge.
