Alabama High School Soccer - John Carroll Catholic nudges Calera
March 13, 2025: Calera, AL 35040 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers (Birmingham, AL) and the host Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), saw John Carroll Catholic's soccer squad hold off Calera by a count of 2-1.
The Cavaliers (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bayside Academy (Daphne, AL). The Admirals enter the non-league battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Bayside Academy was edged by Daphne (Daphne, AL), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Eagles battle the Chilton County Tigers (Clanton, AL) in a 6A Area 5 battle, on Tuesday, March 18. Calera will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 1-10 record after their 1-1 non-league Prattville Christian Academy (Prattville, AL).
