Texas High School Softball - Cooper can't get by Midland Legacy

Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), 5-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Midland Legacy improves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Rebels host Frenship (Wolfforth, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region I District 2 game on Tuesday, April 1. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 13-2.

The Cougars now hold a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wylie for a 5A Region I District 4 game on Tuesday, March 18. Cooper will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Brock (Brock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-8.
