In Friday's non-league game, the host Alcorn Central Bears baseball team scored a nice 15-4 win over the Waterloo Cougars.

The Bears (8-3) will now prepare for their game against Belmont (Belmont, MS). The Cardinals come into the 3A Region 1 match with a 4-10 record. In their last match, Belmont was overwhelmed by Northpoint Christian (Southaven, MS), 10-9, in a non-league match.
