March 14, 2022: Ashburn, VA 20148 The crowd at Monday's league test between the Briar Woods Falcons (Ashburn, VA) and the visiting Lightridge Bolts (Aldie, VA), saw Briar Woods's soccer squad knock off Lightridge by a margin of 3-0.
The Falcons now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Dominion for a non-league test on Thursday, March 17. Briar Woods will meet a Titans squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Freedom (South Riding, VA). The Titans record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Lightridge drops to 0-1 on the season. The Bolts host Meridian (Falls Church, VA) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league test on Thursday, March 24. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 0-1. Meridian lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Tuscarora (Leesburg, VA)
