Alabama High School Softball - Mortimer Jordan bounces Clay-Chalkville
March 14, 2022: Kimberly, AL 35091 Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils (Kimberly, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Clay-Chalkville Cougars (Pinson, AL), 15-0 in a league challenge.
The Blue Devils now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gardendale for a 6A Area 12 challenge on Thursday, March 17. Mortimer Jordan will face a Rockets squad coming off a 14-5 league win over Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL). The Rockets record now stands at 6-8.
With the loss, Clay-Chalkville falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Ramsay (Birmingham, AL) to face the Rams in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Ramsay won 19-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Fultondale (Birmingham, AL)
