In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Stringer Red Devils baseball team scored a tight 6-3 victory over the Union Yellowjackets.

The Red Devils (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS). The Crusaders go into the 2A Region 8 game with a 5-4 record.

The Yellowjackets (3-10) will now prepare for their game against Clarkdale (Meridian, MS). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region 5 game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Clarkdale tipped Newton County (Decatur, MS), 2-0, in a non-league game.
