North Carolina High School Soccer - Carolina Forest overwhelmed by Ashley
March 14, 2023: Wilmington, NC 28412 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting Carolina Forest Panthers (Myrtle Beach, SC), saw Ashley's soccer squad triumph over Carolina Forest by a margin of 10-1.
The Screaming Eagle now sport a 6-0 record. They play next when they host Hoggard for a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, March 21. Ashley will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 4-0.
With the loss, Carolina Forest drops to 5-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Sumter (Sumter, SC) to meet the Gamecocks in a AAAAA Region 5 test on Friday, March 17. The Gamecocks come into the test with a record of 0-6. Sumter lost 16-0 in their recent league test against St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC)
