Texas High School Softball - Austin bounces Westlake
March 14, 2023: Austin, TX 78746 Austin Maroons (Austin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX), 5-1 in a league challenge.
The Maroons now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Travis for a 6A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. Austin will battle a Cavaliers squad coming off a 10-3 league loss to Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, TX). The Cavaliers record now stands at 10-13.
With the loss, Westlake falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Chaparrals travel to Bowie (Austin, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a 6A Region IV District 26 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Bowie won 20-1 in their recent league challenge against Akins (Austin, TX)
