March 14, 2024: Longville, LA 70652 Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the South Beauregard Knights (Longville, LA) and the visiting Fairview Panthers (Grant, LA), saw South Beauregard's baseball squad knock off Fairview by a count of 12-2.
Coming up next, the Knights play the Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers (Lake Charles, LA) in a 3A District 3 battle, on Tuesday, March 19. South Beauregard will attempt to move on its 13-2 season record. The Trailblazers enter the battle with a 1-12 record after their 26-4 non-league loss to DeRidder (DeRidder, LA).
The Panthers now possess a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 16. Fairview will play a Trojans squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Covington (Covington, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 11-4.
