March 14, 2024: Buhl, AL 35446 Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) and the host Sipsey Valley Bears (Buhl, AL), saw Newton County's baseball squad knock off Sipsey Valley by a count of 5-1.
Coming up next, the Cougars confront the Brandon Bulldogs (Brandon, MS) in a non-league match, on Thursday, March 14. Newton County will attempt to advance on its 9-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the match with a 7-6 record after their 10-3 non-league win over Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS).
The Bears (3-8) will now prepare for their match against Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Jaguars go into the non-league match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Northridge edged Bibb County (Centreville, AL), 3-2, in a non-league match.
