The Columbia Wildcats walloped the visiting Meridian Wildcats baseball squad by a final score of 17-5 in Friday's non-league contest.

With the triumph, Columbia moves its record to 11-3 on the season. The Wildcats host Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS) to confront the Tigers in a non-league contest on Friday, March 14. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 2-5.

The Wildcats now possess a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brandon for a 7A Region 3 contest on Wednesday, March 19. Meridian will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-2 non-league win over Columbia Academy (Columbia, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-8.
