The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Morton Panthers to 8 in the Trojans non-league win on Friday.

The Trojans now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Starkville for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 18. Northeast Lauderdale will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to West Point (West Point, MS). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Morton moves to 1-8 on the season. The Panthers travel to Quitman (Quitman, MS) to confront the Panthers in a 4A Region 5 battle on Tuesday, March 18.
