In Saturday's non-league game, the host Pennington Tigers baseball team scored a close 6-5 win over the Section Lions.

The Tigers (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL). The Broncos go into the 3A Area 12 game with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Holly Pond tipped Brindlee Mountain (Guntersville, AL), 15-5, in a non-league outing.
