Virginia High School Lacrosse - Matoaca can't get by Monacan
March 15, 2022: Chesterfield, VA 23838 Monacan Chiefs (Richmond, VA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA), 5-4 in a non-league battle.
The Chiefs now have a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clover Hill for a Dominion battle on Wednesday, March 16. Monacan will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-1.
In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Thomas Dale Knights (Chester, VA) in a Central battle, on Monday, March 21. Matoaca will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Knights come into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 14-7 non-league loss to Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA).
