Texas High School Softball - Como-Pickton bounces New Boston
March 15, 2022: Como, TX 75431 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX) and the visiting New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX), saw Como-Pickton's softball squad nip New Boston by a count of 6-0.
The Eagles now sport a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Vernon for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 16. Como-Pickton will face a Tigers squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Chapel Hill (Mount Pleasant, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, New Boston falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Lions host Pewitt (Omaha, TX) to face the Brahmas in a 3A Region II District 14 match on Friday, March 18. The Brahmas enter the match with a record of 3-8. Pewitt lost 16-1 in their recent league match against Atlanta (Atlanta, TX)
