March 15, 2023: Ellenwood, GA 30294 Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA), 10-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Patriots confront the Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 17. Sandy Creek will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 5-0 league loss to Cedartown (Cedartown, GA).
The Saints now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Carver for a 3A Region 5 challenge on Thursday, March 16. Cedar Grove will confront a Panthers team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
