Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bruins confront the Tallwood Lions (Virginia Beach, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 19. Western Branch will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA).

The Commodores now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Granby for a Eastern challenge on Wednesday, March 27.
