In Saturday's non-league game, the host South Mecklenburg Sabres baseball team scored a close 4-2 win over the Charlotte Catholic Cougars.

The Sabres (6-4) will now prepare for their game against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas go into the So Meck 4A game with a 4-5 record. In their last game, Palisades by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 11-2, in a league game.

Next, the Cougars play the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 17. Charlotte Catholic will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Mustangs go into the game with a 7-2 record after their 11-2 league win over Palisades (Charlotte, NC).
