North Carolina High School Baseball - West Carteret defeats New Bern
March 15, 2025: Morehead City, NC 28557 The West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) baseball trounced the visiting New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 8-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Patriots now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host East Carteret for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 19. West Carteret will clash with a Mariners team coming off a 18-5 non-league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Mariners record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, New Bern drops to 5-3 on the year. The Bears travel to Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to clash with the Monarchs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 18. The Monarchs go into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Northside - Jacksonville lost 16-1 in their recent non-league challenge against South Central (Winterville, NC)
